Caddy Mae Burns is an artist living and working in Seattle, Washington. She received her BFA from The University of Texas at Austin in 2020. She works with painting, printmaking, and textiles to explore ideas of spectatorship, body, and intimacy.

“I work a lot with the figure, often using myself and my partner as subjects to draw from. I capture brief, mundane moments from our daily lives and transform them with bold colors and illustrative stylization to reveal a charged sensory landscape.
These scene explore a range of hidden complexities from the humor of corporeal existince, to questions of belonging and the meaning of intimacy.”
